Guide To California’s Best Honeymoon Destinations

Anyone writing a guide to honeymoon destinations needs to first of all, have a sense of romance. Being a California native who has been happily hooked up in marital bliss for more than six years, I feel more than qualified to offer some suggestions on where to find the real ‘heat’ in California should you choose to spend your honeymoon there.

First of all, it’s important to know your ideal honeymoon, and that’s based on you and your beloved’s personality. Are you active? Do you need to do, see, be and go? Or do you enjoy the finer things in life? Is five-star the only way you fly? You may also be the kind of couple that just wants to relax after the craze of your wedding.

Maybe you are even the kind of couple that can’t wait to experience one another in a way that holds zero distractions. Any way you are paired up, California offers something for everyone.

Most couples will be panting for a relaxing, romantic setting to unwind and restart their new lives together. There are so many places to do this in California that’s it’s difficult to choose just a few, but the following are my recommendations.

I Am Back

I am sure some of you are wondering why you haven’t seen any updates on my blog. It’s been a rodeo on my end, a lot has been changed and so on. But I must say I am glad to be back running again. I sure do miss blogging so much, even though I have not been active on my blog. There so many foods I have been cooking and taste.

Just a few months ago we lost my father-in-law, and it took a big hit in our family. A lot has been going on but we manage to survive and keep our head straight. My husband and I worked together now maintaining our sawmill and photography.

Anyway, I will be posting new recipes here soon and sharing our other adventures. Especially finding the new food that we both like and places that we gonna be visiting.

Gatlinburg Tennessee

My husband and I decided to take a mini vacation to Gatlinburg Tennessee a few weeks ago. We did a Gatlinburg Mini Vacation since it was my step-daughter Fall Break. We didn’t tell the kids for weeks on what we gonna be doing, that way it’s a great surprise for both kids. Gatlinburg is one of our favorite place to visit, it’s not only beautiful but also the atmosphere is just great.

We stayed at the Sidney James Mountain Lodge, the price for few nights stay was a great deal. Though the best was not the most comfortable of all, we still enjoyed our stay. The room is very clean, and the staff is very friendly. Our room did not include complimentary breakfast. However, we didn’t mind it since there are places around us that we can visit for breakfast.

When we arrived at the lodge, it was still too early to check-in to our room.  So we all decided to walk around Gatlinburg downtown.  It wasn’t too cold when we arrived, but then the clouds didn’t look too good at all.  After walking around downtown we decided to visit the aquarium.

This Aquarium is very neat, and the staff is very friendly. It took us about two hours or so, to finish the aquarium. Then we check-in to our room, for our dinner we decided to eat at Johnny Rockets. I must say the food at this restaurant was amazing. It was so delicious, and the dessert oh my can definitely make you gain weight. It was definitely a great experience to eat at this place, the staff is very friendly. The server was really fast, we didn’t have to wait a long time for our food to get to our table.

During our stay in Gatlinburg, we visited few places, we didn’t take a lot of pictures since it was raining a little bit. However, it didn’t rain all the time we were at Gatlinburg, on our last day we pretty much just being lazy did breakfast at Cracker Barrell and then drove home. I’d say though I have never seen so much candy in my life but at this place.  Read more

Hilton Resorts World Bimini: Limited Lunch Choices, No Limits on Taste ~ Guest Post

Hello everyone, today I am sharing you this Hilton Resorts World Bimini: Limited Lunch Choices, No Limits on Taste ~ Guest Post. From one of the lady, I have on Facebook. I don’t know about you but traveling is one thing that my husband and I are hoping to do more this year. Anyway, a few weeks ago I have posted something on Facebook about my blog accepting guest post.  A nice sweet lady contacted me, and I must say this guest post can make you hungry.  Thank you, Tomeka Allgood, for this awesome guest post.

So let’s get this guest post started, don’t forget to follow her on Instagram.

Whenever I travel I make a point not to eat food from any chain restaurant or eatery. During my recent trip to Bimini, which is the closest Bahamian island to the United States, I did not have that problem. This is due to the fact that there are not any chain food places on the island. The closest thing to anything that resembled a chain was Amicci’s, the coffee shop, which served a limited Starbucks menu. Staying at the Hilton Resorts World Bimini, which is one of the only two resorts on the island, turned out to be an excellent choice for a foodie like myself. Overall the resort has six restaurants on property as well as being located relatively close to some of the islands most popular off resort food spots.

I’m sure that I’m not alone when saying that sleeping in on vacation is usually the norm. With that being said, lunch not breakfast is the most important meal of the day. The lunch options at the Bimini resort were not only acceptable but affordable. Of course, as with most resorts, guest are charged an additional service charge of 18%. Even with that fee, the lunch menu was still reasonably priced and where guest definitely has an opportunity to get their best bang for the buck.
