Blueberry Sage Granita

I’m not really a dessert kind of person but whenI found this very nice recipe from yahoo recipes I thought I would try it. In the picture it looks really good and I’m sure it’s good if I make one for me hehehhehehehhe. I am thinking on making of this during weekend that way I’m not busy and not doing anything. That’s all for now and hope that you enjoy this lovely recipe that I found online. My own recipes will be coming soon, take care and you all have a great time.

1. Ingredients

1 1/4 cups water
2 cups fresh blueberries
1/4 cup SPLENDA(R) No Calorie Sweetener, Granulated
1 tablespoon orange juice
1/2 teaspoon ground sage
4 sprigs fresh sage leaves

2. Cooking Direction

Place all ingredients, except fresh sage leaves, into blender. Blend until smooth.

Press mixture through fine sieve, into an 8 inch square baking dish (discard solids).

Cover and freeze, stirring and crushing lumps with fork ever 1/2 hour, for a total of three hours. Stirring procedure is very important, to prevent mixture from freezing into a solid frozen lump. Texture should be ice crystals.

Serve immediately in chilled wine glasses, garnish with fresh sage leaves.

3. Still Hungry?

Sweetened fresh blueberries with just a touch of dried sage are pureed and frozen to create this delectable frozen dessert.

Can be frozen covered for 3 days. Place in refrigerator 30 minutes prior to serving. Scrape with fork before serving.

Yield: 4 servings.
