Homemade Salsa

Few years ago one of my friend on Facebook posted this homemade salsa that they did.  I sent them message to ask for the recipe because I wanted to make it myself as well.  Her mom emailed the copy of the recipe and I made it.  The first batch I was able to canned about 9 jars of the homemade salsa.  You can double this recipe if you want, it’s all depends on how many jars do you want to make.  I didn’t make much since I didn’t really have time to be canning all day.

All my tomatoes I got them from Flea Market, I paid $10 for one of Roma tomatoes.  Using Roma tomatoes on this recipe is so much better it works great really.  However, you are welcome to use any tomatoes you want to use for this recipe.  For me this recipe is very easy to make, and the end result is delicious.  My testers told me last night that this homemade salsa is the best.

I have few cups of salsa left over that cannot be canned ,so I just let my husband and kids eat it with some chips that we already have.  I know I can buy salsa at the store but I love it even more when I know I’m the one who made it and I know what ingredients is in the food I’m eating.  Salsa in our house doesn’t really last long since we use it in some of our cooking as well.

Homemade salsa is delicious, and it doesn’t taste like the one you buy at the store.  I must say since I have been making homemade salsa we have not buy much salsa at the store unless we see something that is different flavor and we wanted to give it a try.   Well that’s all for now, I hope that you will enjoy this recipe.  If you try making this recipe let me know what the end result on the comments down below.

You all have a great day and enjoy.

This homemade salsa is delicious and easy to make. Since I have been making my own salsa, I rarely buy salsa at the store. On this recipe I canned 9 pints, and have a half a jar left overs which I just put inside the fridge.

  1. Homemade salsa is so good. It’s one of the easiest things to make for a fresh snack. In fact, that’s what I had for breakfast this morning. Lol! Your recipe sounds so yummy and looks delicious. 🙂 It would go perfectly with chips and cheese dip or a burrito.
