I am sharing you this homemade biscuit that I found online. This recipe is so easy to follow and doesn’t take a long time to bake at all. It’s my first time to make homemade drop biscuits. I must say I was very impressed, even my husband and the kids are very impressed.
This recipe calls for 2¼ cups of self-rising flour, 4 oz of salted butter and 1 cup of milk or buttermilk. Since I don’t have any salted butter, I just used whatever butter I have available. I mixed the self-rising flour and butter in one big bowl, mixed them well until the self-rising flour and butter are well combined.
Add the milk, stir for few seconds until all the ingredients are well combined. Do not over mix the dough to avoid getting hard biscuits. Using your ice cream scoop or ¼ measuring cup add the biscuits dough in the iron skillet. Baked it in 450 degrees for about 18 minutes or the biscuits is brown. Brush the biscuits with melted butter and parsley mixtures 5 minutes before it finishes baking.
