Delicious Deer Meat Lasagna Recipe

This delicious deer meat lasagna recipe is so good, my husband and daughter love it.  Even though I am not able to eat this lasagna due to the gluten.  I’d say I am very pleased with the finished of this dish.  Since we have some deer meat in our freezer that we need to be using.  I decided to make lasagna for my dinner, this dish is quite simple. It probably took me about 40 to 45 minutes total to finish this meal.

If you have been following me for awhile, then you know how much I love cooking using deer meat.  There is a time where I wish I am out hunting during the hunting season.  But unfortunately that would never happen, so what we do is just go to our local meat processor and see if there is unclaimed process meat.   Anyway, back to my lasagna, this recipe doesn’t require much of ingredients.  I pretty much used what I already have in my pantry and fridge.

I used two different kinds of cheese,  canned tomatoes stew, and crushed tomatoes.   Because I wanted it to have enough juice to cook the noodles, I also use one jar of the spaghetti sauce.  The lasagna noodles that I use it the oven ready one, however, since I don’t want to wait an hour for the lasagna to finish cooking.  What I did was, I boiled the lasagna noodles for about 5 minutes.  Just enough for it to cook a little bit.

For the meat sauce, it took me about 15 minutes to finished cooking it.  Then I added meat sauce in the bottom of my lasagna pan before layering the noodles.  After spreading some of the meat sauce in the pan, I started layering my lasagna starting with the noodles, the meat mixture and then the cheese. Repeat the process until you are finish layering. Topped it with the cheese and let it cook for 30 minutes, at 375 degrees.
