Ingredients
Boiling the Rice
  • 5 cups glutinous rice washed and drained
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 can coconut milk 14 fl. oz
Second time Cooking
  • ¼ cup coconut milk
  • 3 cups white sugar
Topping Sauce
  • 2 ½ cans coconut milk
  • 4 cups brown sugar

Instructions
Boiling the Rice
  1. Washed the Rice and drain.
  2. Add the water and coconut milk. And let it cook for about 45 minutes or until the rice is completely done.
Second Time Cooking
  1. In the non-stick skillet add the coconut milk, then add the rice and stir very well.
  2. Then add the white sugar and mix well. Let it cook for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. After it’s finished cooking transfer to the pryrex. Remember to spread some topping sauce in the bottom of the pyrex.
Topping Sauce
  1. In another skillet add the rest of the coconut milk, then the brown sugar.
  2. Let it boil, once it start boiling adjust your heat to medium and start your time.
  3. Let the sauce cook until it’s thicken about 55 minutes or so.
  4. Once the sauce is done, pour it on the top of the rice. Let it sit for a little bit and serve.
Recipe Notes

If you made your sauce while the rice is cooking, don’t forget to spread some in the bottom of the Pyrex, that will keep the rice from sticking in the bottom.
